During this one hour, weekly group class we emphasize basic obedience, socialization, proper manners, & prevention of common behavior problems.  Puppies are taught basic commands - attention to handler, sit, down, stay, stand, come, loose leash walking, as well as basic manners - accepting handling (paws/teeth) taking treats gently, no jumping, & developing a soft mouth (stopping puppy nipping).  We introduce confidence building exercises/enrichment activities & socialization with people & other dogs - important, but often neglected aspects of proper canine development.  We also address dog care & common puppy behavior issues such as housebreaking, chewing, & biting. 

We guarantee your pup's first introduction to obedience training will be non-stressful & fun!

Class is open to dogs 8 weeks to 6 months.

P.E.T. (play-exercise-training) group classes are a fun & effective way to keep your dog mentally & physically active throughout their life! During these classes, you & your dog learn the skills needed to work together as a team through obedience, confidence, socialization, & play activities. Obedience commands taught include controlled walking, long sits, long downs, stay, stand, figure eight, & come.  We also introduce attention work (focus), hand signals, & distraction as well as a variety of games/tricks including - take it/leave it, give paw, beg, & crawl.  Trust building & confidence exercises include jumps, tunnels, agility obstacles, & environmental stability challenges.

Class is open to dogs 6 months & older.
